Why should you repent?

Why should you repent?

Why people NEED to repent to God? The big reason is, all of us committed transgressions against God through his defined Law. Transgression is evil like transgressing our national law. Traffic law for example, if "kolorum" (unlicensed) vehicles are in the road, surely these will give us unprecedented traffic of every sort ( not to mention OVER the production of vehicles). Bad things are always experienced when someones transgressed a law which leads to traffic, poor cooperation among communities also brings additional problem and so on. This is also applied in our daily lives, in fact majority of bad news you see around us and all horrible news in our television came from transgression! Most of all, we people transgressed God's Law-that's the point. Our Creator, yes, your Maker who gives you to think, hear, feel and breath has controversy against his created mankind-we people on earth! YOU transgressed his Law which defines SIN! According to God's prophet Isaiah God hid his face because of these and chaos produce: "1Behold, the LORD'S hand is not so short That it cannot save; Nor is His ear so dull That it cannot hear. 2But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear. 3For your hands are defiled with blood And your fingers with iniquity; Your lips have spoken falsehood, Your tongue mutters wickedness.…" (Isaiah 59:1-3). Apostle John says: "Everyone who practices sin practices lawlessness as well. Indeed, sin is lawlessness."(Berean Study Bible In I John 3:4). Originally, God did not do that way, only a lawless One started it, and we follow, "For the LORD is God, and he created the heavens and earth and put everything in place. He made the world to be lived in, not to be a place of empty chaos. "I am the LORD," he says, "and there is no other"(Isaiah 24:18,New Living Translation). The answer is obvious. We people followed transgressions to God's Law. According to the Bible it is Satan-the Evil One is the Father of LIES (Isaiah 14:12-19 and Ezekiel 28, John 8:44 ). God has punishment for this! Yes, in our world we live in, poor or lack of FORCE to punish a crime is the main reason criminals do their way over and over again. To our God, He has a horrible punishment if PEOPLE do not obey his Law! Jude 14 "And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, 15To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. 16These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling [words], having men´s persons in admiration because of advantage. 17But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 18How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts". Note also verse 4 4 "for there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ". These men TURNED THE GRACE OF GOD INTO LASCIVIOUSNESS--meaning "LAWLESSNESS" IN New International Version. All people don't want the law of God to follow. We should not follow the Lawless One. That’s why you should repent! Right now and believe his only Son to be your Savior! Follow him and OBEY HIS COMMANDMENTS! New International Version. "Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.(John 3:18). Romans 5:6 (KJV) “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.”

Psalm 57:

1"To the chief Musician, Altaschith, Michtam of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave. Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until [these] calamities be overpast". By Alfredo Cartaño, Jr.
